Mothers minister to the needs of our sisters and serve as mentors for the younger sisters. Our ministry is not limited to just helping our sisters. We reach out to anyone who is in need and also visit the sick and shut-in.
Preparation for Baptism, Communion, and Feet Washing are our major assignments, as well as assisting the Pastor. The Ministry has a small food bank that provides food for the hungry. This food is distributed in the church and community. We mail get-well, sympathy, and thinking-of-you cards to our members and friends.
St. Mark Mothers’ Ministry is a designated Prayer Group with the following assignments: Going Beyond the Church Walls! We are in constant prayer for the worship services; prayerful for Pastor Alton A. Smith and First Lady Mother Doris Smith; and prayerful that every member be at their post of duty to fulfill their ministry assignments with grace, a positive attitude, and a willing spirit. In all our ways we acknowledge Jesus Christ and are led, guided, and directed by the Holy Spirit as we serve God and mankind.
We advocate spiritually moral behavior! In Loving Gratitude, The Mothers' Ministry
